DESCRIPTION:

The role of Sr Communications Specialist is a critical support role in building a world-class employee communications, digital/social and brand strategy for Johnson Controls in China. This role will support the Sr. Manager, Digital, Social & Brand Management to advance brand awareness in China and position Johnson Controls as a thought leader to support growth. This position is responsible for well executing employee communications initiatives, setting up the digital and social landscape, creating and maintaining daily content on social and digital tools, and championing new technologies and channels that can advance the Johnson Controls brand.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Create strategic internal communications plans and campaigns to inform, engage and motivate employees in tune with Johnson Controls’ culture, while cooperating with internal stakeholders across functions, like sales, HR, Legal, IT, etc.

2. Develop, write and edit communications material and contents, such as emails, PPT, speeches, articles, etc. Simplify the complicated subjects into easy-to-understand format or language.

3. Lead and manage employee communications activities, such as APAC employee town hall/events, email communications, newsletter/e-newsletter, employee social media channels, etc.

4. Support digital leader to advance and maintain the company website and measure it.

5. Maintain social media platforms like WeChat, Weibo; Work and brain storm with agency to take initiatives on the social contents and campaigns.

6. Develop and maintain company brand elements, such as company credential, boilerplate, etc.

7. Manage and work with different agencies (event, translation, design, etc) to get projects done and in timeline.

8. Drive KPIs identified by the communications team to support growth goals of business and align brand and thought leadership strategies. Identify ways to continuously improve impact of APAC communications team.

9. Interact with leaders and provide professional advice which shows the understanding of business and needs.


REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or equivalent.

2. 1~5 years of solid experience working in Communications/PR, Marcom.

3. Strong communications skill with solid understanding of business operations in MNC.

4. Ability to work to a budget and manage multiple projects at one time.

5. Good understanding of China digital landscape; familiarity with digital & communications tools, such as SharePoint, CMS system, Percolate, email blasting tool, SurveyMonkey, etc.

6. A high detail-oriented team player, self-motivated and drives to a timeline.

7. Ability to speak and write in English and Mandarin fluently with strong presentation, email and phone abilities.
